The benefits of Puppy Culture to our top quality german rottweiler are undeniable. The neonatal phase is approx. birth to 16 days. Implementing Puppy Culture during this phase results in:

  1. Greater stress tolerance.
  2. Greater disease resistance.
  3. Faster adrenal system response.
  4. Stronger heartbeat and heart rate.

The transition phase, between approx. 14-21 days, german rottweiler puppies are a lot like toddlers. This phase begins when the puppies’ eyes open and ends when they startle with sounds.

  1. Pups’ eyes open
  2. Pups begin social litter play, barking, growling, and non-verbal communication
  3. Pups start lapping milk
  4. Include lean muscle meat with goats milk

The Socialization phase is between 3-12 weeks. It’s easiest during this phase to help puppies form positive attitudes and behaviors through training and repetition. It’s important to build the following 7 skills into the pups’ lives during their first 8 to 12 weeks of life.

  1. Communication – Dog and human language skills.
  2. Emotional Stability – Ability to recover easily from fear and cope with stress and frustration in a socially acceptable manner.
  3. Habituation – Familiarity with the maximum number of things and circumstances to facilitate the “so what” response.
  4. Enrichment – The view that novelty and challenges are opportunities for enrichment rather than things to be feared and avoided.
  5. Health – Physical wellness and motor skills to allows the puppy to develop and grow in a neurologically and sound way.
  6. Skills – Learned behavior that allows him to function in human society.
  7. Love – The desire to seek out the company of both dogs and humans as an emotionally positive experience.
