  4. Reservation: Puppies are reserved based on the date and time the deposit is received. The first to deposit gets the first choice from the litter.
  5. Regular Updates: We provide updates as time permits. Please bear with us if there are occasional delays.
  6. Safety First: For the safety of our puppies, we do not allow visits until after the final parvo vaccine at 8 weeks.

Intact Tail Process for German Rottweiler Puppies

To ensure you receive a Rottweiler puppy with an intact tail, please notify us immediately via phone or email. Tails and dew claws are typically removed no later than the third day of life. For those wishing to keep the tail intact, full payment must be completed by this third day. If payment has not cleared by then, you may choose a puppy from a future litter or request a full refund.

While families may opt to keep their puppies’ tails and/or dew claws intact, please note that the American Kennel Club (AKC) Rottweiler breed standard requires a docked tail, intact reproductive organs and dew claw removal for conformation purposes. Supreme Quality German Rottweiler Puppy Care: 0 to 8 Weeks

**0 – 3 Days:**
Newborn Rottweiler puppies are fed from their mother every 1-2 hours. Dew claws are removed, and tails are docked. If lactation issues arise, we supplement with powdered goat’s milk and Nutrical.

**1 – 2 Weeks:**
Feeding continues from the mother every 3-6 hours. By 1.5 to 2 weeks, the puppies’ eyes open, and they begin socializing. We administer dewormer (Pyrantel Pamoate) at 2, 3, and 4 weeks to ensure optimal health.

**3 – 6 Weeks:**
At 4 weeks, we start transitioning Rottweiler puppies to lapping, using a mix of milk, cottage cheese, or blended raw meat. By approximately 5 weeks, they transition to high-quality kibble once their teeth have fully emerged. We also train the puppies to eliminate in a potty box with pine shavings. Puppies are fully on dry kibble by the beginning of the 6th week. At around 5 weeks, we administer the Parvo vaccine (NeoPar) and follow up with dewormer (Fenbendazole/SafeGuard) at 6 weeks.

**7 – 8 Weeks:**
Puppy selection visits are scheduled between weeks 7 and 8. All core vaccines and dewormer meds have been administered and our top-quality German Rottweiler puppies are ready to join their new forever homes by around 8 weeks old.

What to Expect on Puppy Pickup Day

  1. Scotty contacts each family to schedule the puppy pickup visit.
  2. Puppy pickup is scheduled in order of date and time deposit was received. Each visit is scheduled for 2 hours, to sign contract and select puppy.
  3. Scotty will take German Rottweiler puppy family pictures and videos that we share on our website and social media.
  4. Our puppy goes to his or her new home with a small gift bag, a day’s worth of dog food and a few tips and tricks. Puppies are trained to use a pine shavings potty box to ease potty training transition at their new family home.
  5. Family must schedule an initial puppy veterinary visit within 72 hours of pickup for contract guarantee.
